Our Mission in Four States

We believe that the most effective governance happens closest to the people. The Four States chapter works to ensure every resident has direct access to their municipal government, meaningful agency over their future, and the ability to hold all power — public, corporate, and algorithmic — accountable.

Civic Auditing Boards

Organize independent oversight of local municipal spending and decision-making to ensure transparency.

Anti-Federalist Candidates

Recruit and support candidates for mayor and city council who uphold our principles.

Data Sovereignty Ordinances

Push for city-level protections ensuring residents own their digital data and algorithmic transparency is enforced.

Community Broadband

Establish public broadband infrastructure as a utility, ensuring universal internet access regardless of income.

In the course of inquiry it has appeared, that for the purposes of internal regulation and domestick tranquillity, our small and separate governments are not only admirably suited in theory, but have been remarkably successful in practice. It is also found, that the direct tendency of the proposed system, is to consolidate the whole empire into one mass, and, like the tyrant’s bed, to reduce all to one standard. Though this idea has been stated in different parts of the continent, and is the most important trait of this draft, the reasoning ought to be extensively understood.
