THE
ANTI-FEDERALIST
PARTY
ACCESS · AGENCY · ACCOUNTABILITY
Restoring the vision of the founders who foresaw what America would become — and fought to prevent it. The republic has drifted. It is time to bring it home.
What They Foresaw
The Prophecy of the Founders
Over two centuries ago, the Anti-Federalists warned precisely what would happen if power was consolidated in a distant central government. They were dismissed as alarmists. History proved them prophets.

The Constitutional Convention, 1787 — where the Anti-Federalists fought for the people's liberty

The Supreme Court would become an unaccountable legislature, expanding federal power through broad interpretation of the Necessary and Proper Clause until no sphere of life remained beyond its reach.
Judicial review was established in 1803. The Commerce Clause has been stretched to regulate virtually all economic activity. Nine unelected justices effectively legislate for 330 million people.

The presidency would accumulate power far beyond its intended scope, evolving into an elected monarchy commanding standing armies without the consent of the people's representatives.
Executive orders, executive privilege, the national security state, undeclared wars spanning decades. The president commands history's largest military without Congressional declarations of war.

Representation in a large republic would be captured by a 'natural aristocracy' of the wealthy and well-connected — not ordinary citizens — making government a tool of elite interests.
Congress is overwhelmingly composed of millionaires. Citizens United codified that wealth equals speech. The average citizen has statistically near-zero influence on federal policy outcomes.

Without ironclad protections, the federal government would systematically erode individual liberties, surveilling and controlling the very people it was created to serve.
Mass surveillance programs (NSA/FISA), civil asset forfeiture, qualified immunity, and the digital erosion of the Fourth Amendment. The Bill of Rights he demanded has proven insufficient.

Standing armies would become permanent fixtures of the republic, consuming the nation's wealth and entangling it in foreign conflicts that serve no public interest.
750+ military bases worldwide. A state of nearly continuous war since 1941. A defense budget larger than the next ten nations combined. The military-industrial complex Eisenhower later warned of.
The Foundation
Three Pillars of the New Compact
The original Anti-Federalists fought for the people's power over government. We extend that fight to every institution that governs modern life — corporate, algorithmic, and political.

Access
Every citizen deserves direct, unobstructed access to the institutions, information, and infrastructure that shape their lives. When access is gatekept, democracy is theater.
- Universal broadband as public infrastructure
- Open government data and algorithmic transparency
- Healthcare access for every community, rural and urban
- Elimination of financial barriers to civic participation
- Public access to AI tools and digital commons

Agency
The people must retain meaningful control over the forces that govern their labor, their data, and their futures. Agency is not granted — it is structurally guaranteed.
- Worker protections and collective power in the age of AI
- Data sovereignty — you own your digital identity
- Community-owned energy and cooperative economics
- Decentralized decision-making at every level of government
- Right to understand and challenge algorithmic decisions

Accountability
The compact between the governed and those who govern is only valid when accountability is absolute. No institution, no corporation, and no algorithm is above scrutiny.
- End qualified immunity nationwide
- Mandatory algorithmic auditing for government AI systems
- Real-time public spending transparency dashboards
- Corporate accountability for environmental and labor practices
- Term limits and anti-corruption enforcement with teeth

The Origin
Born in the Land of Enchantment
New Mexico — where the legendary light reveals everything and hides nothing. Where the distance between the people and their government has always been measured in more than miles. Where communities have governed themselves since before the republic existed.
This is where the Anti-Federalist Party was born — not in a boardroom or a think tank, but in the recognition that the founders who feared consolidation were right. The system has become exactly what they warned it would become. And the correction must begin here, from the ground up, the way they intended.
