Our Mission in Carbon Cliff

We believe that the most effective governance happens closest to the people. The Carbon Cliff chapter works to ensure every resident has direct access to their municipal government, meaningful agency over their future, and the ability to hold all power — public, corporate, and algorithmic — accountable.

Civic Auditing Boards

Organize independent oversight of local municipal spending and decision-making to ensure transparency.

Anti-Federalist Candidates

Recruit and support candidates for mayor and city council who uphold our principles.

Data Sovereignty Ordinances

Push for city-level protections ensuring residents own their digital data and algorithmic transparency is enforced.

Community Broadband

Establish public broadband infrastructure as a utility, ensuring universal internet access regardless of income.

October 10th, 1787.Dear Sir,The great object of a free people must be so to form their government and laws, and so to administer them, as to create a confidence in, and respect for the laws; and thereby induce the sensible and virtuous part of the community to declare in favor of the laws, and to support them without an expensive military force. I wish, though I confess I have not much hope, that this may be the case with the laws of congress under the new constitution.
